Our Physicians

Eliza Thornton, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Thornton is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and is board certified in Family Medicine.  She completed her residency at the Crozer Family Medicine program in 2009 and   she has been a Member of the House Call Group ever since. She enjoys helping her patients to continue to live in their own homes. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, baking bread, and taking care of  her pet chickens.

Antoinette Wassel, MD

​

Dr. Wassel is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and is board certified in Family Medicine. She welcomes the challenge of integrating the complete health care team, including the patient's family, in treating the homebound geriatric patient.  She is also a proud Penn State alumna - WE ARE!

 

 

 

Jeffrey Thorley, MD

 

Dr. Thorley is a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and completed his residency in internal medicine at University of Texas Southwestern.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.  He spent many years in primary care private practice, and has also worked at Fox Chase Cancer Center.  

 

 

 

Sara A Sperber, CRNP

Ms. Sperber earned her nursing degree from Columbia University and her Nurse Practitioner Masters from Hunter College in New York.  For the past 10 years, she has worked in varied areas of adult medicine including home care nursing.  She enjoys the one on one patient care opportunity model as established by the House Call Group for the past 18 years.

Teresa R. Williams, DNP,CRNP

 

Ms. Williams received her nursing degree from Neumann College and her Masters and Doctorate from Temple University as a Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. For the past 10 years she has worked in both hospital and primary office setting.  She is thrilled to be able to now devote the time needed to treat the homebound geriatric patients of the House Call Group.

Kathleen Mahoney, PhD,CRNP

 

Ms. Mahoney received her nursing and Masters from the University of Pennsylvania and her PhD from New York University  As one of the first Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner in the State of Pennsylvania, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience.  She relishes the opportunity to no longer have her time with each patient restricted by a waiting room full of patients.  She can now give each patient the time they deserve and need.
